Privacy policy
What we collect on this website, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Effective October 21, 2026
This policy explains how Coastview Strategic Advisory (“Coastview,” “we,” “us”) handles personal information collected through coastviewadvisory.com and its landing pages (the “site”). It does not cover financial or business information our clients give us during an engagement. That information is governed by the client’s engagement letter and our professional confidentiality obligations as CPAs.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you fill out our “See if we’re a fit” questionnaire, email us or book a call, we collect what you provide, which may include:
- Your name and email address
- Your company name and industry
- Your company’s annual revenue range and accounting system
- What you’re looking for help with, who keeps your books today, and any notes you add
- The time you choose and any details you enter when booking a call
Information collected automatically
- Page and campaign information. When you submit the questionnaire, we record the page you submitted it from and any campaign tags in the web address (for example, which ad you clicked).
- Advertising pixels and cookies. We use the Meta Pixel and the LinkedIn Insight Tag. These tools collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, and actions you take (such as submitting the questionnaire). Meta and LinkedIn may use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your activity on this site and other websites over time.
- Server and security logs. Our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information, such as IP address and browser type, to deliver and protect the site.
How we use it
- To respond to you, understand your needs and decide whether we’re a good fit
- To schedule and prepare for calls
- To measure which ads and pages lead to inquiries
- To show our ads to people who have visited the site, and to people similar to them, on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and LinkedIn
- To operate, secure and improve the site
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with companies that help us run the site and our practice:
- Cloudflare hosts the site and processes form submissions.
- Resend delivers questionnaire submissions to our inbox.
- Google provides our email (Google Workspace) and the fonts used on the site. Loading the fonts sends your IP address to Google.
- Akiflow provides our booking page when you schedule a call.
- Meta Platforms and LinkedIn receive information through their advertising tools, as described above. They use it under their own privacy policies.
Some privacy laws treat sharing browsing information with advertising platforms for ad targeting as “sharing” or a “sale.” You can limit it using the choices below. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
Your choices about ads and cookies
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- Adjust your ad preferences in your Meta ad settings and LinkedIn ad settings.
- Opt out of interest-based ads from participating companies at optout.aboutads.info.
Do Not Track. Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common standard for how sites should respond, and the site does not currently change its behavior in response to it.
Reviewing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected]. We’ll respond within 45 days. We won’t treat you differently for making a request. Information held by Meta or LinkedIn is controlled by them; use the links above to manage it.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry information for as long as it’s useful for following up and for our business records, and then delete it. If you become a client, your information is kept according to your engagement letter and professional record-keeping requirements.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and we limit access to the information you send us. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please don’t send sensitive financial details through the questionnaire.
Children
The site is meant for business owners and isn’t directed to children. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top.
